What To Expect Before, During, and After SKINVIVE™
During your consultation, a practitioner will discuss the process with you, setting expectations for the treatment and learning more about your skin goals. They will also discuss any potential risks and side effects, as well as how to care for your skin once your treatment is finished.
First, the skin will be cleaned and prepped before injections. SKINVIVE™ contains lidocaine, which helps to numb the skin and reduce pain and discomfort. In addition, your practitioner may also apply a topical numbing cream on the skin for added comfort. From here, the practitioner will start the injections using a grid pattern on the skin. The treatment time is short, usually only taking 15-30 minutes.
There is little to no downtime after the procedure. Your practitioner will advise you to avoid touching or rubbing your face or wearing makeup for at least 2 hours following the treatment.
Some results from SKINVIVE™ can be seen right after the treatment is complete. However, it can take 2-4 weeks to see significant changes. Final results can last for up to 6 months.
