Ideal Candidates
Ideal candidates for JUVÉDERM® VOLUX™ XC are women and men who are non-smokers and are in good general health. Ideal candidates also wish to restore facial volume in their jawline, chin, or jowls for a more youthful, defined appearance. JUVÉDERM® VOLUX™ XC injectable gel is used to improve moderate to severe loss of jawline definition in adults over the age of 21.
How It Works
JUVÉDERM® VOLUX™ XC is an FDA-approved injectable gel filler for the jawline that uses a synthetic form of hyaluronic acid, which is a sugar that is produced naturally by your body, to attract and retain moisture in the skin and other tissue. HA allows the treated area to stay supple, volumized, and hydrated. During your consultation, you will go over your goals and desires, and a customized treatment plan will be created. The JUVÉDERM® Collection of Fillers uses a specific ergonomic syringe for each of its products. This syringe is inserted into the predetermined treatment areas to volumize the jawline, chin, and/or jowls to achieve a natural look. The JUVÉDERM® VOLUX™ XC treatment is quick, typically lasting only about 30 minutes.
Recovery and Results
After your JUVÉDERM® VOLUX™ XC injectable treatment, you may experience redness, swelling, pain, tenderness, firmness, lumps/bumps, bruising, discoloration, or itching. These side effects are temporary and will dissipate shortly after your treatment.
Your initial results will be visible immediately, but you can expect to see your true results after all of the side effects subside.
