Ideal candidates for JUVÉDERM® VOLUX™ XC are women and men who are non-smokers and are in good general health. Ideal candidates also wish to restore facial volume in their jawline, chin, or jowls for a more youthful, defined appearance. JUVÉDERM® VOLUX™ XC injectable gel is used to improve moderate to severe loss of jawline definition in adults over the age of 21.

 

How It Works

JUVÉDERM® VOLUX™ XC is an FDA-approved injectable gel filler for the jawline that uses a synthetic form of hyaluronic acid, which is a sugar that is produced naturally by your body, to attract and retain moisture in the skin and other tissue. HA allows the treated area to stay supple, volumized, and hydrated. During your consultation, you will go over your goals and desires, and a customized treatment plan will be created. The JUVÉDERM® Collection of Fillers uses a specific ergonomic syringe for each of its products. This syringe is inserted into the predetermined treatment areas to volumize the jawline, chin, and/or jowls to achieve a natural look. The JUVÉDERM® VOLUX™ XC treatment is quick, typically lasting only about 30 minutes. 

 

Recovery and Results

After your JUVÉDERM® VOLUX™ XC injectable treatment, you may experience redness, swelling, pain, tenderness, firmness, lumps/bumps, bruising, discoloration, or itching. These side effects are temporary and will dissipate shortly after your treatment. 

 

Your initial results will be visible immediately, but you can expect to see your true results after all of the side effects subside. Your jawline will be more defined, and you won’t have to worry about finding your good angle for pictures! JUVÉDERM® VOLUX™ XC improves the jawline for up to one year with optimal treatment.

Restylane®

How It Works

Restylane works by injecting the gel formulation into the skin where you may be experiencing lost volume or wrinkles. Once injected, the combination of hyaluronic acid and water found in Restylane® smooths and lifts the skin, which makes it appear plumper and fuller in the treated areas.

Recovery and Results

There is no downtime associated with Restylane®. Patients may experience swelling for up to two weeks after the injectable treatment. Once the swelling dissipates, patients can start to see noticeable, natural changes in the treatment area. Depending on the type of Restylane® injectable filler used, results can last as long as 18 months. It is recommended that you schedule follow-up treatments to maintain your desired aesthetic.

JUVÉDERM® XC

JUVÉDERM® XC is used to correct moderate to severe facial wrinkles and folds, such as nasolabial folds, which are the lines that extend from the nose to the corners of the mouth.

JUVÉDERM® Ultra XC

This formulation is meant to restore or add volume to the lips and smooth fine lines around the mouth.

JUVÉDERM VOLUMA® XC

This formulation is designed for injection into the cheeks to help remedy the loss of volume, causing a hollowed appearance or a loss of definition.

JUVÉDERM VOLLURE™ XC

This formulation is also designed to fill and smooth moderate to severe facial creases but produces a smoother result.

JUVÉDERM VOLBELLA® XC

JUVÉDERM VOLBELLA® XC is designed to augment the lips and smooth perioral lines. This formulation is softer than JUVÉDERM® Ultra XC.

JUVÉDERM® VOLUX™ XC

JUVÉDERM® VOLUX™ XC is designed to improve lost definition in the jawline, which includes the chin and jowl area.

Recovery and Results

Immediately after your injections, you may experience some slight redness, swelling, or bruising. These side effects are typically mild and should resolve within a few days.

You will see the initial results of your treatment immediately, and your appearance will refine as the swelling dissipates and the gel settles. You can expect to look more refreshed and youthful and will see an improvement in facial volume. JUVÉDERM® products can last for six months to one year, depending on the formulation used and the area(s) treated. Maintaining a healthy diet and lifestyle can help prolong your results.

JUVÉDERM® Ultra XC

JUVÉDERM® Ultra XC is a hyaluronic acid filler that can be used to add volume and improve symmetry in the lips.

JUVÉDERM VOLBELLA® XC

JUVÉDERM VOLBELLA® XC is a thinner formula than JUVÉDERM® Ultra XC. Although it is also used to add volume to the lips, the results will be more subtle.

Restylane®

Restylane® has produced a few different formulations of its product to be used for augmenting the lips. The specific formulation used will depend on your needs and desired aesthetic results.

Recovery and Results

You may experience some mild swelling and redness after your lip filler treatment, but these side effects should resolve within a few days. You may also experience some slight bruising, which should dissipate in seven to 10 days.

You will see improved volume and symmetry in the lips. The results of your lip injections can last for up to one year, depending on the formulation used. A healthy lifestyle and skincare routine can help maintain optimal results.
